I have always found the landscape of the Alps ethereal and beautiful. As you move around the mountain, admiring the awesome scenery there is a sense of strength in the unmoving rocks, but also of imminent change. The weather conditions can change so fast and create wonderful light effects around the mountains and the colours are so subtle and emotive.

These photographs are from my holiday in the first week of January 2013, I was staying in the beautiful mountain village, Wengen in the Jungfrau region. This holiday really inspire my work this year. I find the transience of the elements (snow, ice, mountain) amazing.
